Privacy Policy

The short version: Constructel NYC does not collect personal data, does not set cookies, does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and does not have user accounts. There is nothing to opt out of.

What runs in your browser: The site loads its own JavaScript and stylesheets, plus Google Fonts (for typography). It calls the city's public data API directly from your browser to fetch live filings, permits, and contract data — see Data & Sources for the full list of what's queried and from where. No third-party analytics, ad, or tracking script is loaded; the site's Content-Security-Policy header technically blocks any script domain beyond the site's own.

Server logs: Our hosting provider (Netlify) may log standard, aggregate request data (IP address, requested path, user agent) for operational and security purposes, the same as any web server. We don't access this to identify individual visitors.

Data about companies: Company, permit, and contract information shown on the site comes from public New York City and New York State government records — see About for methodology. This is public-record data about businesses, not personal data collected from site visitors.

This policy may be updated as the site adds features (for example, the planned newsletter). Any future feature that collects an email address or other personal data will describe here what's collected and why before it goes live.
